Commemorations for slain men of the 1916 Rising

revolutionaries during in the 1916 Rising, and largely written out of our history, may like to know the following.

Commemorations are due to take place tomorrow, Sunday, April 24, at the entrance of

Dublin Castle on at Cork Hill for the first man killed in the 1916 Rising, unarmed policeman, Constable James O’Brien from Kilfergus, Co Limerick.

That will be followed by one for Constable Michael Lahiff at St Stephen’s Green West where he was shot shortly after O’Brien was slain.
