True democracy protects the vulnerable

Democracy has little or nothing to do with an attempt to remove the basic human right from an entire group of human beings. So it’s more likely that pro-life supporters are instead afraid that introducing more abortion to Ireland could lead to the same abuses seen in other countries.

An important part of democracy means protecting the vulnerable from those who would do them harm and everyone truly interested in a democratic society recognises this.
