Water charge protests have achieved their end

Enda Kenny’s so called ‘whinger’ gaffe in Castlebar was a slip of the tongue and a harmless comment when compared with what another Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern once suggested the people should do ie commit suicide, before plunging us into one of the worst economic disasters since the foundation of the State.

Water charge protests have achieved their end

The country can rest assured that the long standing water charge protests never had anything to do with saving the working man a single cent. From the beginning, this was the handiwork of Sinn Féin whose real objectives was to destabilise and discredit the outgoing government’s power, particularly the Labour party.

Towards this end, a policy of divide and conquer was adopted with the weaker party on the receiving end of this vilification without any justification for it.
