US election needs more coverage than Trumpwatching

Every major media outlet in this country is copying the major media outlets of the United States and spending an inordinate amount of time and coverage on the Donald Trump campaign for president of the US. Why?

Because Mr Trump is making outlandish racist/sexist and irresponsible comments which makes for simplistic reporting on the entire campaign. Mr Trump has about as much chance of winning the presidency as Donald Duck does.

And yet the entire major media outlets treat him as if he is a serious contender.
