Election letter: It’s a bit rich of Micheál to complain of scare tactics

I disagree with Micheál Martin when he says that scare tactics in the election debate are wrong [February 20].

Anyway it is a bit hypocritical of him to be giving out about scare tactics when he and his Fianna Fáil colleagues used them liberally during boom-time campaigns.

If we had a bit more fear instilled in us about what powerful politicians like Mr Martin, not to mention the powerful in financial institutions, were deciding to do during the boom, it might have served us all well and saved us from a lot of austerity.
