It galls me to see gardaí protecting criminals

Why should our limited garda resources be used to protect habitual criminals and drug dealers ? Let these gangsters kill each other off. It is beyond comprehension that criminals with 20/30 previous convictions are granted bail.

The purpose of jailing lawbreakers is twofold; to punish them, but more importantly to protect the majority of law-abiding citizens.. The Gardai would be better employed dealing with the spate of rural crime that has many older people living in fear in their own homes in isolated parts of the country. Leave the the gangland criminals to their devices. Lucinda Creighton was correct when she stated in a recent TV debate; ‘Three strikes and you’re out’.
