‘Mé féinism’ has taken a hold like never before

One could never accuse Fergus Finlay (Irish Examiner, February 9) of shirking or shrinking from saying it as it is. His bleak appraisal of the nation’s state of affairs is seriously salient.
‘Mé féinism’ has taken a hold like never before

He forlornly bemoans the veritable “state-of-chassis” prevailing in nearly all labyrinths of statutory governance, so-called professional practice and charitable enterprise.

Accountability does not rule ok, it seems.

Has ‘mé-féinism’ overrun the collective psyche, so that greed, gombeenism and global corporative neo-liberalism rule the roost ? Where has common decency disappeared to?
