The refusal by the Taoiseach Enda Kenny to rule out doing a deal with Michael Lowry after the next election is nothing short of blatant political hypocrisy.

This shows that our Taoiseach, in particular, has little regard for low standards in politics, despite his lip service to the contrary, especially in relation to Sinn Fein’s past.

In truth, it is this sort of hypocritical behaviour that fuels cynicism and adds to peoples mistrust in the political system.
