Government need to do more for Halawa

Ibrahim Halawa’s case should be up front and centre to Irish foreign policy, pressing for the immediate release of this young Irishman.
Government need to do more for Halawa

Our Irish Government would need to be doing far more for a child of our state.

His trial has been repeatedly postponed.

If convicted he could face the death penalty.

Other States that may have influence with the government of Egypt, like the USA, should be approached to use their good offices to support Ireland to give effect to Ibrahim’s release.

Amnesty International has already taken on his case.

Shame on Egypt for this act against a boy and his sisters.

Bring this boy Ibrahim home.

Have him back home for 2016
