Resistance in West Bank is largely non-violent

A person could read every pronouncement of Kevin McCarthy (Letters, December 18) and never appreciate that Israel is in illegal and brutal military occupation of the West Bank and East Jerusalem since 1967 — the fundamental cause of the ongoing resistance.

Resistance in West Bank is largely non-violent

The really remarkable fact is that during that time, most of the legitimate resistance to that occupation has been non-violent by both Palestinians and their many Israeli sympathisers, such as Israelis Against House Demolitions, for example.
