The dispassion amongst those who acquiesce, or facilitate a two-tier health service, is such that they must find it acceptable to treat a section of their fellow citizens as undeserving of humane treatment.

And those political charlatans who promote a system (where those with the means are valued, but those without are mere numbers in a queue) are simultaneously having us commemorate the heroes of the 1916 rebellion — a rebellion with aspirations grounded in the idea of a Republic which guaranteed universal treatment for all, regardless of means?
