We have to put humans before EU regulations

The Seine is a 776 kilometre river which rises in North Eastern France and flows through Paris into the English Channel at Le Havre and is constantly dredged and kept clear for water activities.

We have to put humans before EU regulations

Why can we not do the same to our rivers?

The British were the last people to dredge the River Shannon when they were in this country.

What have people suffered because of the Government’s lack of action?

Look at Bandon, Skibbereen, and other rural towns, where all we have are promises and photo opportunities for TDs.

The Government should forget about building flood walls and just dredge our rivers and let the water go naturally as David Cameron said he is going to do in England, irrespective of the EU.

Is that what we voted for when we joined the EU?
