I was a patient who saw the health service working at its very best

In view of the relentless negative commentary being levelled at our health service, I would like to share with readers my recent positive experience at the hands of the HSE personnel.

On June 9, I suffered a serious fall on a local footpath.

This resulted in a painful and upsetting fracture of my femur. However, thanks to the action of a generous passerby, I was comforted and supported until the arrival of a family member and the ambulance service.
