Why didn’t people protest about Troubles?

Last Saturday tens of thousands of people marched in Dublin to protest against paying €160 per year for an adult to have running water from their taps.

Why didn’t people protest about Troubles?

It’s a pity the same numbers did not turn out to protest against the IRA when they were spilling blood in a vain attempt to achieve a United Ireland by force.

To put a twist on an old saying, for many of us it would seem blood is not as thick as water.
