Credit must go to Save Moore St Committee

Failte Ireland has finally woken up to the potential of historic tourism in our capital city. (Irish Examiner, June 23).

For the record, the original concept of a freedom trail around the GPO/ Moore Street emanated from The Save 16 Moore Street Committee still campaigning to save Moore St from the wrecking ball.

That the area is considered worthy of inclusion in The Story of Dublin is welcome.

All credit for this development is down to campaigners who saved the area from becoming a CelticTiger shopping centre.
