We need list of Anglo bondholders

Trickles of information are beginning to paint the picture of the causes of our enforced austerity which will be with us for generations to come. Just so we don’t forget: €200 billion in unsustainable debt with over €10 billion in interest payments alone year after year).

But until such time as we are given the complete list of the senior bondholders at Anglo Irish Bank, who were protected at the expense of the people of Ireland, we won’t know the full story. The revelation of this list would give us the clearest insight yet of how our lives are controlled by global banks, investment institutions and giant corporate businesses.

It would help to make clear why Trichet did a ‘about turn’ on his version of his communication with the Irish Government during the meltdown and of why the ECB itself capitulated to these forces and enslaved the Irish people.

It would give us an insight into the forces to whom our present government have become too close at the expense of the people who elected them. It might help us to realise in whose interest the colonisation of Europe really is.

It might even bring people to the realisation that to continue to believe the mantra that it would be ‘madness’ to think that we could exist outside the European Union would, in itself, be a kind of madness. The list of Anglo Irish Bank senior bond holders must be published for the common good which is enshrined in our woefully-neglected constitution.
