John Delaney and the board of FAI should resign

Does John Delaney seriously think that anyone would believe the FAI would take legal action over the Henry’s hand ball incident which robbed Ireland’s World Cup place.

John Delaney and the board of FAI should resign

Didn’t Jeff blatter nearly choke from laughing at the suggestion from the FAI that Ireland be let in the “back door”.

Now we learn the FAI were given a €5 million sweetener so France got through. But why did we have to wait until now to learn this?

And what was that money spent on?

I don’t recall any press release in regard to same.

It’s very coincidental this revelation should come in the same week as the massive corruption in FIFA. In my opinion, the position of John Delaney and the board of the FAI are untenable.

The fact is they received money and never disclosed it to the people who pay their salaries, the footballing public.

What they did was sneaky and underhanded.

They should do the honourable thing, resign.
