It’s high time for the Taoiseach to speak up

The resources of the Oireachtas are now being focused on a compromise that de facto is nothing more than another Enda Kenny escape route. 

We are awaiting the Fennelly report with no great hope of the Taoiseach coming into the Dáil and simply telling the truth. The Moriarty report is four years old now.

All this could be solved by Mr Kenny if he chose to do so. We need a clarifying statement on the relationship of FG and Denis O’Brien. We also need the truth about Callinan and Mr Kenny’s part in what happened.

The Taoiseach is now deciding when to go to the country to seek a second term, but refuses to answer questions. His style of leadership is not good for democracy and his recent failure to defend Dáil privilege suggested something is not right. If the Taoiseach has nothing to hide, why does he not speak up? We are all ears.
