Restore public sector pay and crash economy

Restore lost pay to the public sector? Is the Irish economy being ‘remounted’ by the bloated jockey that destroyed us 10 years ago with its sense of entitlement about jobs for life, union demands, increments and benchmarking?

If the Government reinstates the highest paid public sector in Europe, this will happen.

Having survived the banking calamity, which lost us tens of thousands of our young people and tens of thousands of jobs, Ireland cannot survive the restoration of public-sector pay. Unemployment, redundancies and emigration shall again await us — if this is our response to the very early signs of a steadying economy. And this time there is no Brian Linehan to point a way out.
