Don’t forget public sector workers were paid increments throughout recession

“Few of us will quibble with public sector works getting a pay rise” according to your editorial (Irish Examiner, May 19), which was presumably written by the public sector union bosses?

Well, I quibble very much. In fact it incenses me to feel that despite everything that has happened, nothing has changed in Ireland. No wonder they are so scared to give votes to emigrants.

I deeply resent any suggestion that the public sector has made anything close to the sacrifice of others over the last few years.
