Minister did not propose memorial to soliders

Peter Mulvany’s letter ( April 14) referenced “Minister Heather Humphreys’ call for a joint permanent memorial to 1916 British Soldiers”

Minister Humphreys made no such call.

Rather, a British historian who featured in a Morning Ireland report last week, called for a ‘plinth of reconciliation’ to be erected on Mount Street bridge, where over 30 British soldiers were killed.
