Proud to see Labour honour Máiría Cahill

As one who doesn’t want to see Sinn Féin in government, the fact that Maria Cahill was presented with the James Larkin award at the Labour Party conference is somewhat reassuring.

But it can’t be encouraging to some supporters of the Labour Party, who hold a different view.

Cahill’s harrowing account of her treatment by Sinn Féin, which TD Mary Lou McDonald described as just a ‘story’, encapsulates the party’s moral standards.
