Blasphemy reform shows media’s eltism

Your editorial yesterday (Irish Examiner, January 14) about lack of political reform reeks of hypocrisy.

Two fundamental reforms proposed — the abolition of the Seanad and the attempt to increase women’s representation — are still being opposed by most of the media.

The Seanad abolition was also opposed academia to maintain privileged places for their elite cronies.
