Pensioners paying the price

Pensioners have received 25% of the old Christmas gift — halleluia!

Pensioners paying the price

We pensioners have not had a rise since 2009 but in the meatime, we have lost:

(1) That same Christmas gift; (2) free telephone rental; (3) free refuse collection.

In that time, we’ve had imposed on us (4) €2 per item on our prescriptions — and most of us need medications to ease agonies;

(5) property tax and (6) water charges.

Where, and why, in the name of God, are we expected to find all this money to save the country?

We are mostly the savers from the old ‘hard times’ whose parents had to pay for our education and whose taxes paid for the education of the current workers and shirkers.
