Enda Kenny’s double standards easily explained

Victor Stevenson, ( Letters, November 22) asks how can Enda Kenny exclude the Westbank orphanage from the remit of the proposed mother and babies homes Commission of Inquiry having stated in the Maíria Cahill case that all allegations of abuse should be thoroughly examined?

Quite simply, the alleged sexual abuse of Ms Cahill, which has not just criminal but political connotations, is being used by Enda Kenny as a vehicle for the vilification of a political party which has a legitimate expectation to form part of the next government in this State.
