Commemorate 1916 by protecting Irish water

The Government is drowning in the water charge controversy.

People are not fooled. Why did the Government not just fix the leaky pipes instead of installing meters?

They are not bothered by the wastage be it wastage of water or wastage of money.

It is clear to the people that Irish Water is a vehicle to raise money to pay back bond holders. It is also being set up so the Government can raise funds by privatising this utility in the future.

This is perhaps the greatest fear amongst the people.

Perhaps the best way of commemorating the 1916 Rising would be to enshrine the protection of water supply in the constitution of a country that was so hard fought for at that time!
