Voters have been taken for fools once again by this government

The setting up of Irish Water is costing us several million of euro every month and is the biggest white elephant we have. It is also acknowledged that operating expenditure per connection in Ireland is more than twice the average of UK companies. Irish Water has twice the number of staff it needs and, according to the ESRI, this extra expenditure will cost households an additional €2 billion by 2025 when the arrangement ends.

Both he and Eamonn Gilmore promised full services to Roscommon Hospital. Gilmore further promised there would be no water charges if he were elected to government, but in less than three months after taking office, Gilmore sanctioned water charges, and blamed the troika.
