Enforce full rate of corporation tax

One of the highlights of the latest report from the Central Statistic Office (CSO) on national income and expenditure, dated October 2014 was that under tax on income and wealth (Page 21).

Enforce full rate of corporation tax

The state took in some €50,035bn in taxes, of this, €4,272bn was taken in through corporation tax. How much of this should have been taken in, if all companies paid the tax at 12%? We are all all aware that some companies pay as little as 2%. If the tax was paid correctly there would be no need for water charges, USC and all the other stealth taxes that are forced on hard pressed Irish taxpayers.
