McNulty debacle shows contempt for the public

On a piece about the John McNulty controversary, Labour’s Kathleen Lynch told her interviewer on radio that it must have been a slow-news week.

This sums up the attitude of politicians to all their mistakes: soak it up and it will pass when something new crops up and they will forget all about it”. “They” are the public for whom politicians have nothing but contempt as they continue to fund their comfortable lives as services continue to be cut to the bone.
