Babies scandal shows system not democracy

A new inquiry is going to be set up to investigate yet another national scandal — that of the dumping of nearly 800 remains of babies in a cesspit in holy Catholic Ireland.

Babies scandal shows system not democracy

The so-called mother and baby homes should have been called the mother and baby concentration camps. They certainly were not homes.

This scandal is a clear indication, yet again, that this nation is being run by a system best described as a sham democracy.

In a true democracy the citizens are at the centre of all political, financial and social considerations, whereas the reality, as we are all well aware, is the exact opposite — the wellbeing of the citizens in this State is of no value or consideration whatsoever to the politicians, to the elite and to the establishment.

It is about time the citizens of this nation realised that we need widespread fundamental political change.

The whole political system needs to be utterly altered and a true democratic system be established in its place.

It is time for each and every Irish serf to stand up and finally become an Irish citizen.
