Sign corrected

John Glennon’s recent letter (Irish Examiner, May 24) raised the issue of a poorly translated Irish sign at Dublin Airport.

Sign corrected

The sign was removed last Wednesday after the error was brought to our attention and it has now been replaced. Dublin Airport has clear procedures whereby all official signs should be translated into Irish by an external translator and then checked by a second source. Unfortunately, that policy was not followed in this case and we apologise for the error.
