Double corporate tax

Ministers are striving to outdo one another with threats of even more taxes in the next budget. This Government have lost the run of themselves.

They have loaded us with ever-cascading stealth taxes. The most insidious ploy is to rob the old people of their medical cards just to give them to the young. That is just like moving the deckchairs around on the Titanic. Soon there will be nothing left to tax.

Powerful forces treat Ireland like a cosy tax haven. It may be legal, but I find it disgusting. We should double the rate of corporation tax. The Government would then meet all its financial targets and balance the national books. Then they could give us a tax break.
