Perpetrators of recession have not paid a price

We need the behaviour of the Central Remedial Clinic Board to be examined and blame laid where it should be.

Perpetrators of recession have not paid a price

The lack of governance in the CRC and the fall-out for children and their families is shameful, cruel and wrong.

The people who caused their pain must pay the penalty. More damaging was the failure of the board of the Central Bank to protect the economy before the crash in 2008.

The result is more trollies in corridors, schools without teachers, children with special needs without supports, the disadvantaged worse off, workers without jobs.

Why did The Central Bank not act as a watchdog for the economy? Why has no-one been called to task? Officials and the then government had duties and responsibilities and were well-paid to carry them out. We are all paying for their lack of governance and, I believe, it is time for the Government to take whatever action is necessary.

We need action and I don’t think I’d try a ‘truth commission’.!!!!! After the terror, suffering and austerity of the past six years, the Government have us in a position where we can borrow money on the markets at 3%, down from the terrifying rate of 13%. Well done.

How much did those who caused the disaster suffer?

Very little, I’d imagine.
