Stop fishing nonsense

We believe the Irish government will get € 1.4bn as a once-off payment for the sale of an Bord Gáis.

Stop fishing nonsense

The Marine Institute tells us that EU foreign vessels take €1.8bn worth of fish annually from Irish waters. At the same time Irish fishermen are struggling to stay afloat economically because of adequate whitefish quota. They have to watch these foreign vessels continue to land fish into Irish ports without any financial benefit whatever to Ireland. Who can put a stop to this nonsense?
