Let me Guide you in right direction for 2014

As the new year is upon us, everyone is thinking of what they might give up. I’m wondering why we aren’t thinking about what we will start. A new year, a new hobby — perhaps Guiding?

Since joining the Irish Girl Guides at the age of six, it has become a huge part of my life. You develop many life skills and make friends for life. As a senior branch member (girls age 15+), I get to help with the younger children and I am greatly involved in the community. We enjoy a lot of freedom in senior branch: we plan our own meetings, taking a laid back approach.

I have had many opportunities that other girls my age would not have. I have camped in all weather conditions and I am a lot more independent. When I was younger, I was quite insecure. but because of Guiding I have completely overcome this.!
