Clean political slate

I was disgusted to hear Michael Noonan recently utter that despicable phrase “go mad” that was used by FF to implicate us all in the disasters that brought the country to its knees.

In the same way as a wife-beater justifies their actions by saying “she was asking for it”, or an alcoholic pretends to themselves that “everyone does it”, Fine Gael have obviously abandoned their voters and convinced themselves that “we all” deserve this and that “we all” did something to trigger it, therefore “we all” deserve to be punished and pay the price.

The simple fact is that Noonan and FG are wrong. Clueless, delusional and wrong. It is an absolute disgrace that they are so out of touch with reality and refuse to protect the decent people who didn’t go mad, didn’t over-borrow and over-spend, and whose pockets they repeatedly pick while refusing to even vote against bankers’ pay packages.

The sooner the political landscape is wiped clean of all current parties and replaced with genuine people who will ignore the leeches at both ends of society and protect the ordinary folk, the better.
