Power cables must be buried at the side of our road network, especially by the side of dual carriageways which could be the cheapest way to do it when devaluation of property is taken into account.

The works needed by way of surveys have already been done on our road infrastructure and I appeal to Communications Minister Pat Rabbit to seriously consider this option.

Pylons going up on farms are going to be an eyesore and will have serious implications on future farm development and will slash or eliminate possible site sales.
