Where was FF when small farmer cried wolf?

As a General Election draws closer we are beginning to hear FF and ex-FF TDs sounding like hungry coyotes howling in the bright moon.

Where was FF when small farmer cried wolf?

These FF and ex-FF TDs rumble on about the drastic cutbacks to small rural farmers by the Government, but they hardly believe that Fine Gael policy has ever changed. It hasn’t. Fine Gael were never a party set up to protect small farmers but rather the larger and well-off.

FF policy has changed, they crucified small farmers once the Celtic Tiger and its cubs faded into the undergrowth leaving a trail of destruction. I ask where were these FF TDs when 2,000 farmers demonstrated in Ballineen, Co Cork, against the severity of the FF and Green Government budgetary cuts, the 25% cut in Area Aid and a host of other cutbacks? Any candidate that walked the Dáil lobby on previous Budget days and supported cutbacks that hit the most vulnerable and isolated in our society should be banished.
