All about affordability

The coming referendum should give voters the opportunity of getting our bureaucratic system reduced to what a country like ours can afford.

All about affordability

The questions posed for the voters should be precise and aimed at creating a sensible and workmanlike system, even if it means the Dáil has to function for a few days more per annum.

The Seanad would not be impaired if the number of senators was reduced to 30. Our TDs have the luxury of being amongst the highest paid in the EU and individually care for far less constituents then their counterparts in other countries. This could be remedied by reducing the number of TDs to 100. This Referendum must allow the voters to decide by making certain that the right questions are posed.
