A bridge too far for trucks

The solution to trucks getting stuck is to erect barriers on the approaches to low bridges.

Flashing lights and/or electronic signage are not a solution.

In Spain, a heavy balk of timber suspended on chains is often erected a hundred metres or so from the bridges, and at a similar height, and the truck hits this if it proceeds towards the bridge.

No damage to bridge, minimal traffic disruption.
