Browne should recall 2002 abortion vote

Would you please advise or maybe remind your columnist Colette Browne that in the 2002 (25th Amendment) referendum that 49.58% of the people actually voted to exclude suicide as grounds for a termination.

Browne should recall 2002 abortion vote

Ms Browne will also be well aware that 5% of those who voted similarly to Ms Browne (if old enough to vote in 2002) were very much pro-life but had real concerns with the Protection of Human Life in Pregnancy Act which would have been enacted if the amendment had been passed.

What really concerns me about Ms Browne and the current crop of so-called journalists and columnists is that they abuse the privilege of writing for previously respectable newspapers in ranting on histrionically and pushing their own agenda and propaganda, rather than leaving their bias at home and pursuing the truth.

In not doing their job as expected and paid by the public, they are predictable, discredited, and only compromise newspapers and indeed justice in general which is, I believe tantamount to a form of corruption which ironically and hypocritically they seek to uncover elsewhere.

I shall refuse to purchase any newspaper which allows such festering behaviour to go unchecked.

Can you also inform Ms Browne that I know for a fact that at least one woman was in the 49.58% so all were not male as assumed, and no doubt, hoped, by her.
