Let this be the end of ruinous benchmarking

Now that the public-service unions are doing individual deals with the Troika ‘government’, let’s hope this is the end of the truly ruinous benchmarking, which was so beloved by the unions and politicians.

Lest they forget, every cent spent on public services and servants, and their entourages, and their expenses, and their pensions, has firstly to be generated in the private sector.
