RTÉ fees to further isolate Irish abroad

RTÉ has issued a statement: they will charge people living outside of Ireland to watch the Sunday Game, and other programmes, online, even though they are days old when we see them.

I know RTÉ is short of cash, as many people in Ireland do not have TV anymore, and so do not pay a licence. Many people watch programmes online, as they cannot afford the TV licence, so that is the biggest cash loss for RTÉ.

The director of RTÉ has stated that he will not charge people in Ireland to watch online, so he will make up the shortfall on the backs of us emigrants. It is bad enough having to leave my country, which I dearly miss, but now the lifeline is being taken away.

The GAA is the one thing I pine for, and have watched and listened to for years online, and, I must say, RTÉ has done a great job down through the years, and now it is going to end.
