Tax not so sweet

Your recent editorial berates the government for not introducing a sugar tax instead of cutting respite care.

Cutting respite allowance was indeed very harsh. However, you should look to Denmark where they introduced a sugar tax a few years ago but recently abolished it because it had some adverse and unintended consequences.
