Perhaps now that a documentary has been made pertaining to the cruel procedure carried out on thousands of unknowing women since the mid-1940s, Government reticence to deal with the massive physical and emotional damage caused by symphysiotomy will embarrass them into looking after these amazing women.

The male species dressed in white coats and clerical collars felt it was better to saw a woman’s pelvis rather then have her practicing any form of artificial contraception.

As far as I am aware no apology has been forthcoming from the professional body that represents gynaecologists who performed the archaic and barbarous practice.
