People must have final say
It must be the democratic and explicit wish of all the people of Europe, and it must not be done in a stealthy and piecemeal manner.
Above all, we must be able to trust those at the heart of the EU, and that is difficult to do when it appears that there are some people using the financial crisis as a catalyst for their dream of a federal Europe. The final say must rest with the people of Europe directly and with the politicians they elect.
