On the question of saving money on public service allowances, why not start with the Oireachtas?

No Croke Park agreement to renegotiate, and think of all the allowances that could be abolished or reformed, including the travel allowance which allowed Junior Minister John Perry to make such a large claim which he sought to justify by saying that he had to move around ‘not a small parish’.

This surely should add a new word to the English language: Perrypathetic!
