RTÉ shows poor judgement in getting the balance right

The poor judgement shown by RTÉ to be part of an extensive PR campaign by Seán Quinn against the Irish legal system, by allowing him prime air time on Sunday, should not surprise anyone.

In June, RTÉ bombarded us on news bulletins, four times a day, for three weeks, with tales of drunken idiots (“gas lads having a great time”) in Poland. When young kids did the same thing in the Phoenix Park, there was shock and horror all around.
