A tough lesson

It looks like Michael Noonan’s cherished dream of Ireland remaining in the euro is about to become reality.

Even more likely is that we will be theonly nation left in it — unfortunately or no.

When that awful day comes to pass, the first item on the agenda will be devaluation. The second will be teacher Kenny making an unmerciful and undignified rush to the Park to extinguish the life of this Dáil. Be careful what you wish for, indeed.
