In whose interest are we being governed now?

ONCE your leader writers have finished crowing about the fact that the budget proves the country is not being ran by the trade unions (December 10), I would be delighted to be informed by them as to whose benefit it is being governed, especially if it’s not the same people who managed to get us into this mess in the first instance.

AS I watch in fascinated horror at the inexorable progress of the Green party in committing an act of political suicide by nailing their colours, alongside those of their coalition partners, on the mast of the slowly sinking ship Ireland Inc, in pursuit of an insane policy spearheaded by NAMA, they would do well carefully to consider their current position.
